We enable Costa Ricans to buy any asset from the US or around the world through us. A few years ago, we started designing portfolios according to the client's risk profile. We have business relationships with international banks, allowing our clients to open accounts outside of Costa Rica. We have our global mutual fund as well as two other funds that give us the opportunity to reach the general public, leaving behind the misconception that a large sum of money is needed to invest. The key is to educate people about the market and the importance of saving. Therefore, we have been publishing educational material and interviews with economists online. Although several opportunities are emerging, we do not have a structured system in place, but it is in process. There is growing interest among international investors for funds related to green energy, so our best bet is for Costa Rica's renewables sector to grow, because it is the industry of the future. For 30 years, the company has had the vision of working in the local market as well as the international market.

One of the key suspects in the killing of a United States drug agent was captured early today by the police in Costa Rica, American and Mexican officials said. The suspect, Rafael Caro Quintero, who is believed by authorities to be one of the major figures in Mexico's cocaine and marijuana traffic, was captured in a house that authorities said he owned in San Jose, the Costa Rican capital. Reports from San Jose said he was arrested after United States officials tipped Costa Rican authorities to his presence. Caro Quintero had been sought by authorities since early February, when an agent of the United States Drug Enforcement Administration, Enrique Camarena Salazar, was abducted on a street in Guadalajara.
On January 19, , Mr. The petitioner argues that the judgment in question violates Articles 1, 2, 4, 5, 8, With respect to admissibility, the State maintained that the complaint was groundless and out of order and that it should be considered inadmissible. It also insisted that the tardiness with which the victims were individually identified, and the lack of standing in the case of those victims that were initially identified, should render the petition inadmissible. The State also argued failure to exhaust domestic remedies, and claimed that the petition was submitted too late, in relation to the victims who were subsequently identified. The petitioner, on the contrary, declared that the presumed victims had requested confidentiality for fear of disruption of their private lives. The petitioner also alleges that because of the binding nature of decisions of the Constitutional Chamber they had no further recourse to exhaust. On the basis of its analysis of the arguments presented by the two parties, pursuant to Articles 46 and 47 of the Convention, the Commission has decided to declare the petition admissible, with respect to the alleged violations of Articles 1, 2, 11, 17 and 24 of the American Convention, and to proceed with an analysis of its merits.
